Act II — the shift
Then AI changed what software could understand.
Models made it possible for software to read unstructured context, generate language, summarize, classify and propose. A capability that had never been available to a business system became ordinary.
Intelligence made software capable.It did not make organizations decisive.
A model can produce an answer. It cannot say whether that answer is permitted, who is accountable for it, what it was based on, or what happened because of it. Those are the parts a decision is actually made of.
Act IV — the layer that was missing
Decision Intelligence is the architecture between intelligence and action.
Not a model, and not a workflow wrapped around a model. Context becomes knowledge, knowledge becomes reasoning, reasoning earns confidence — and nothing becomes action without passing an authority boundary that records what it permitted, and why.

AI-native does not mean LLM-first, chatbot-first or agent-first. It means intelligence is part of the platform's architectural foundation — models and agents operate inside the architecture, and governance, not the model, determines what is permitted.
